What the … ?

This morning I woke up to snow. Yes, as in the-kind-that-falls-from-the-sky-in-small-white-puffs-snow. It was really snowing. Crazy, right? Well, not really – here, we’re well into the autumn, and it’s beginning to get quite chilly. As in -3 degrees C in the night, and about 5 degrees C during the day-chilly. Luckily for us, we had sun today (after the snow…), which helped a little. Back home in Denmark, they still have the late summer heat, but up here, we’re almost done with the autumn already! When I arrived, about 3 weeks ago, it had only just started… It happens very, very fast here, and the local saying is that we only have two seasons here, since spring and autumn both are very very short.

So, snow and sun in one day. It was very beautiful with the snow on the mountains (the snow doesn’t really stick to the ground where we live yet), although I’m pretty sure most of it’ll be gone by tomorrow. The thing is, today just made me long even more for the real winter to come…

I must admit that winter is probably my favorite time here!
